I would go with an Amish cooling unit for a repair unit. They have a good history.

You get what you pay for. Not all new tubing. Generally just the tubing that is bad has been replaced leaving the rest of the original tubing to go bad at a later date.

I have! I dropped my cooling unit off with them while on vacation to Mobile, Al. and picked it up a week later on the way back to MO. The place is a small operation but very nice people to deal with and seem to have all the equipment necessary to do the job. I have no complaints. Unit works good as new and he explained everything I needed to do to get it back in the fridge. They have the lowest prices of anywhere I checked. While I was there a large motorhome was camped in the parking lot while they were having their refrigerator worked on. They were given a power line to run the camper on while they waited. They are just a little ways off the interstate and the town of Falkville is interesting.

Just replace our Dometic cooling unit with an Amish cooling unit last week. I believe it works better than the Dometic ever did.

I purchased a new Amish Cooling unit instead of a remanufactured one. You can purchase a remanufactured unit from them also. The reman prices are the same from both companies.

The biggest difference that I seen was a better warranty with the Amish Cooling Unit and they use heaver materials for the tubing.
