I moved from Michigan to CA back in 2001. Brought a class c from Mi, here is a tip, they will only ASK you when the TV came to CA. I waited until I had a CA driver license, then register the rv just tell them 26 days ago.get it smog tested first.
I didn't have to pay any STUPID A tax.
Now I live in Texas ( for CA reasons)

You should make appointment asap to DMV and transfer title now.

Appointments are long out so locate a small town with DMV and arrive early.

If less than 5 years old maybe no smog.

If sold in ca then real easy maybe.

If you register in ca then street legal.

Yep, we know about the long wait at DMV. When we got here last summer we tried to make an appt but we couldn't get in for months. So we got up early and got inline at the San Marcos DMV and 6 or 7 hours later got to go home
