i don't know if ''fold'' is the right word for removing the ceiling light cover.
my covers can be removed by squeezing both sides together, then prying downward with a plastic knife on one end or the other. there is a channel on each side of the fixture that the cover fits in.
on my moho, the light covers are so loose that they often fall off on rough roads. i use a strip of clear cellophane packaging tape on each end to keep them secured.
incidentally, my ceiling light fixtures require 2 good fluorescent lamps to be installed or the fixture will not work at all.
