Removing the Range/Oven --how to?

Hi Folks. I am posting this in the "general" category, hoping to cast a broad net to anyone who's removed their range/oven. I would be particularly thrilled with responses by owners of a late model Fleetwood Discovery (or similar) product, as that may be particularly relevant for me..

I have a 2013 Fleetwood Discovery 40G and I'm beginning a new mod. I am going to remove the range/oven combo and replace it with a stove-top, and a dishwasher underneath. I will document the mod for later distribution...

First step will be to remove the range/oven, and already I'm a little puzzled. I attached a picture of my range here... I have a series of drawers to the left of my range, and our residential fridge to the right. I'm wondering how the heck they secure these ranges, and thus how I would remove it?

I pulled some drawers out hoping to see the range in there, but Fleetwood installed a solid plywood board between the range and the inner-workings of the drawers. Dang! There is an access panel underneath the range that I'll rmove next to see if they screwed the range in from underneath, but that seems a little odd to me.

Anyone out there with experience removing these ranges? Please tell me I don't need to remove the counter top!! How the heck do I get this thing out!! It must be bolted down, right?

Rob

Lift the range top, remove the screws you see. Disconnect the gas line and lift it out. Dont forget to turn off the gas first.
OK take the corion cover off first

Don.. If I understand you correctly, I should be able to open my range top, and then whatever screws I see hold the whole thing in place? I don't think I can lift open my top--I believe that there is a "lip" of the counter top on the right and left sides of the stove top that extend over the edges of the range a little. But I will take a look next weekend when I'm back at the RV.. Thanks!

The top should come off for cleaning and service. Start there. Mine had some wood screws into the cabinets at the back and on both sides. Pretty easy access and nothing from below or behind.

Good luck.

Alright! Two people giving me the same idea... sounds like a winner! I will open from the top, find some screws, and viola!

I removed the range in my last MH when rebuilt my back wall and cabinet and countertop. All my connections were under range top.
