Has anyone ever rented their motorhome? How was your experience? Who did you get insurance from? Thanks for your input.

Welcome to the forum.

I haven't rented but looked into it prior to buying our coach. As I recall, it was very expensive but I'm sure others will chime in with first hand knowledge soon.

Good luck

Rick

Queen

No I have never rented my motorhome. Unless I felt I could absorb the total loss of vehicle don't think I would.

I am providing you a post dealing with loaning your RV to friends..However make sure you read post #117. Experience with renting motorhome by another member.

Would you lend out your motorhome?

jack

Sorry Queen. I misread your post as asking if anyone had rented a motorhome... not rented out one you already owned. No way I would do that. Please do read the post #117 that Jack points out below. I'd sure want no part of anything like Joe found himself involved in.

Good luck...

Rick

I would never rent my MH. The insurance is too expensive for one thing, the other is we like to use it too much ourselves.

I bought a Class "C" in 1982 and rented it for 3 years plus using it ourselves in between. I don't recall where we got insurance but it was a rider. The only time I got stung was when 4 girls took it for a weekend. What a bunch of slobs. It cost me a lot more $ to clean it than the deposit ($300). They threatened to sue but I had pictures.

I would wonder why anyone would want to do it after seeing how people treat rental cars. What some would do to mistreat the drive train wouldn't probably show up until you use it.

In the class A forem under would you ever loan your Rv I think most people would not loan, rent their coaches. If I was going to rent it I may as well stay in a bug infested hotel. But then again I don't loan anything except to my kids I bought it you buy yours.

Have agree with everyone else
NO WAY will it ever be rented or loaned
Too much time and money invested

I see what the public is capable of, every time I de-plane after passengers. First Class is just as bad as Business and Coach.

Lately, I walk the aisles and let my nose scan for cushions that've doubled as toilets en route.

That could be my RV...
