Repairing Roman Shades

Hi All.

We have a '99 Bounder 34V. After 12 years, the sun has ruined the backs of the shades in the bedroom and they're all but coming apart. I think they might be repairable, but I can't figure out how to get them out. The valance is closed top and sides. I can see the brackets that hold the shade, but can't find any way to get them loose. It appears that they installed the shades then built the valances around them.

Anybody have any experiance with this?

Thanks in advance,

Hack

Push the shades all the way up. using both hands grab the top of the shade and pull and twist the outside edge downward to release the shade from the snap in type mounts. Many times the coach builders will just screw through them up into the valance.

I want to replace the day/night shades in our rig with Roman Shades, especially in the bedroom. Are there special Roman shades for RV's or can I get them wherever their sold for stick houses?

Thanks

They look to me like the same shades you would use in a house - if you can figure out how to get them out and back in. I haven't yet.

Best regards,
