We did, we replaced it with a standard size office desk. Works well for our situation.

We know of several people who have done that. It's a rather common mod at places that specialize in RV cabinetry, like Davis Cabinets in Oregon or From Trees To These in Indiana..

We removed the couch and the both table and seats. Put in a table and chairs and a couple of small folding tables for our computers and we use our chairs from the table set.

We removed the "J" couch and the original recliner.
Got a desk from Office depot to put where the Recliners was and I made a modified Futon to replace the J Couch.
Wife used her Desktop PC at the dining table and I used the new desk. It is small and swives out to mak an "L" shape if needed.

BIG DRAWBACK though.

We used this for 2 1/2 years while fulltiming and now are selling it and it has cost us in resale value because we modified it.

But, we had to get it sold, so we were over a barrel. If you can store the original furniture and then put it back when you go to sell then it might be worth it.
