Replacing Kitchen Faucet

Want to replace kitchen faucet with new one that I had laying around? The standard faucets for homes that I've seen attach to a 3/8" male supply line. My MH has a female 1/2" supply line. WTH? The option I see is to cut the 1/2" female supply off and replace with a "push on" type shut off valve like the one pictured... Am I thinking right?

THat is one way and gives you shutoff valves for sink

OR just get an adapter 1/2" to the 3/8"

Do they make a 1/2" female to 3/8" male adapter?
