Sure is easy to tell who boondocks, and those that don't. If you're boondocking, pass on the residential model. Get the Rv frig, on gas it barely uses any electric. Mine is 14 years old, and has never had a problem.
An inverter uses a lot of amps to make 110v. The inverter would keep up, but the batteries wouldn't. I think its like 10 to 1. For every 1 amp of 110v you pull 10 amps from the batteries. You would have to run the generator almost all the time if you get the residential one. I boondock for a couple weeks every year with a whole lot of others, and there's no all electric rigs there. They pretty much stay to RV parks and race tracks I guess. I sleep a lot better without that genset running all night. And it burns about 3/4 gallon per hour to use.
