Hi Elainee. I'm not sure if we got Resistall brand or something else, but when we bought our moho the dealer price for exterior only "protectant" was $300. Since that seemed like a drop in the bucket compared to all the other add ons, we sprung for it. Supposedly there is a 5-year warranty on the product but I need to read that "guarantee" carefully and see exactly what it's supposed to do. I elected not to waste money on any interior protectant as I am quite anal about keeping stuff clean.
IMO, $1891 sounds like waaaaaay too much $$.

I was curious about this product because we bought a "Diamond Coating" for our 5er two years ago and it has performed pretty well. I googled Resistall and in a particular thread there were people who loved it and people who say it damaged the exterior and interior. I know for our "Diamond Coat" the black stains off the gutters comes off easier and the gel coat still has the shiny new look, whereas my buddy who bought a TT the year before me didnt put anything on the exterior and his gel coat looks dull. But again he doesnt really wash it too often either. Like one person said in a thread "I still see Ferrari owners waxing their cars". And $1800 plus dollars buys a lot of wax.

I think I would pass on something like that. You don't mention if you have full body paint but if you do a good wax/polish is all you need. Heck even if you don't have full body paint all you need again is some good wax or polish. It would have to be something pretty bullet proof to spend that kind of money and I doubt that it is. They're just trying to get into your pocket for something else that they might have given away. As far as the interior if you have leather, what is there to protect? They sell leather cleaner and protectant at WallyWorld. Fabric sofas and chairs now mostly come with some sort of stain guard right from the factory. If it were me I would put that $1900 in my pocket for fuel and do some traveling.

Me too. Oddly reminiscent of treatments 20 yrs ago offered by car dealers; in reality, pure profit.
Any retired car dealers wish to weigh in on this one?
