We are looking for a good road emergency service. We have received some info from Good Sams and Camping World.

Are there any others we should be looking at?

Any info on the pros and cons would be greatly appreciated.

Look into the Emergency service through W.I.T. You will find that the company that provides the service is very good and competitive in cost. They have service people that can give you aid with Winnebago manufactured units.

Suggest CoachNet. A lot of folks have it and highly recommend it.

Winnebago uses Coach-Net...

I had the personal experience yesterday to use Coach-Net myself,as Newmar/Spartan Chassis use Coach-Net as well...

While my geographic location between two majot cities meant a little longer wait for a wrecker big enough for my coach, I have nothing but good things to say about the way I was treated....

When in the Knoxville area and needing a tow, whether Coach-Net or not, I highly recommend Travis Towing....

I also recommend Coach Net. They are very responsive and freindly to work with. We have 3 vehicles covered, the coach, the toad and the DW's car. Tow companies have told us that they prefer to go on Coach Net calls, because they pay better and faster.

Purchased my Coach-Net yesterday. I had an experience with them last Feb. They sent the appropriate truck/driver. The wait was a little long(100 miles) but he had to have been speeding to get to me as quick as he did. Great hook-up and tow into Flagstaff. First time I've had no problems due to hook-up.

We have Road Care through Camping World. First year price was $69. When they automatically renewed they charged my credit card $79 or maybe $89. I was going to drop and then restart at the enticement level. Didn't get around to that, but did have a problem and needed to be towed about a hundred miles to an Allison Transmission shop. Towing charges based on hours truck was away from his home base would have been in the $900 to $1100 range because we were three hours from anybody that could have pulled our motorhome. All I did was sign my name when he unhooked us. I went from being an unbeliever to a believer that you need to have some kind of insurance in place. I am pleased with what we have. Another vote for Coach-Net. I love being able to talk to a tech for help in trouble shooting. The one time I needed to get to a shop they called around and made the arrangements for me and then called back to let me know. Great service!

I also recommend CoachNet. They have been very helpful on several occasions. We started out with Good Sam, but the first time I needed them they were unable to find my location on a map.

Good Sam. They are everywhere and they know how to disconnect driveshafts and hook onto a 50000lb motorhome.

Another vote for Coach Net. Monaco uses them. Their rates are very competetive and their phone agents are more knowledgable than Good Sam's or any other road side service I've heard of, so you can call one of their techs and get help with problems when you don't need road service.
