I just got an offer in the mail for AARP road service by Allstate for $45.

Currently, I use Good Sam ERS @ $109 for cars and motorhome.

Anyone have any experience with AARP road service or should I stay with
Good Sam?................... Thanks

You would have to compare both - benefit for benefit and determine which suits your needs vs cost.

  • Will they cover a tow exceeding 5 miles if it's necessary?
  • Do they cover just the AARP member or everyone in the household and any vehicle you own?
  • Do they provided more than a jump start and/or fuel delivery services for dual-wheeled vehicles, recreational vehicles, and pickup trucks with more than a 2,000 pounds carrying capacity?
  • If two or more tow trucks are required to extract your RV do they cover the extras?

Make sure they understand big rigs. The Allstate service is oriented towards cars and probably can't handle a trailer or a motorhome. You need a service that will dispatch equipment and technicians who can handle your rig.

Your are probably going to get what you are paying for, about half the amenities of the regular programs. AARP has never turned my crank on anything.
