I know that the emergency road service plan of choice is probably Coach Net with Good Sam as second choice. My question is has anyone purchased and used the RODside Protection Plan which is available to members of Resorts of Distinction? If so; have you had occasion to use it and how was the service. For $59.95 a year it sounds good and the price is right.

Bought it for one year. Called and service was two days away. Seems they had a problem finding a service company to work on electric jacks. Decided to call Coachnet that day using a friends card. Explained our problem and that we were not members but our traveling companion was. They accepted our explanation and sent service immediatley. Been a member for years now.

I called 2 or 3 of them before I purchased and Coachnet was the one that spoke English and seemed to want to help. Enough said for me.

You must of not called. RV Roadhelp.
I have had it since April 1994 and every time I have needed them.

I always have gotten a English speaking person that I could understand.

What were the 2 or 3 you called that they didn't speak English.
Maybe you pushed the number 2 button by mistake.
Did Coach Net give you the choice of button 1 or 2 to speak?
I bet they did.

Triker56. I don't guess you have ever had to call Dell or most other tec help lines. With Dell and others you don't have a 1 or 2 option you just get someone from India. I am not trying to be biased or racial at all. I just think when you call someone for help you should be able to understand them. No I did not call RV Roadhelp, never heard of them. I called Good Sam and another 1 or 2 but don't remember who. I was calling a few as if I needed their help and Coach Net was the one that stood out.

Currently, I am in Southern CA and have So-Cal AAA Premium with RV & Motorcycle added. Before I leave for Alaska this coming May, I am purchasing CoachNet Platinum as it is the best deal for the services. My AAA package when I renewed it last August was $160. CoachNet Platinum will only be a around $110 or so and they cover every vehicle I own including the trailer. AAA doesn't even come close to doing that and they don't have convenient coverage in Canada or Mexico like CoachNet does. If I had known about CoachNet before last August, I would have never renewed my AAA membership for another year.

CoachNet will be my Roadside Service of choice for a long time. End of story.

Wow! I have CAA Premier RV PLUS 154.00/year. All vehicles that I am in are covered as well as any trailer. It covers me, not any specific vehicle. Plus the following:
60 min calling card
5 allowable service calls, 1 - 320 km towing plus 4 - 160 km
Complimetary car when towed
Trip interruption protection and 2000.00 out of pocket expenses
Travel and medical assistance
Worldwide Concierge service, we have used this numerous times and it works great. Even for concert tickets.

And it is good in Canada and USA. Maybe Mexico, I didn't ask that.

At this cost, I wouldn't leave home without it. http://www.irv2.com/forums/images/icons/icon7.gif
