Roof vent no power connections

2011 Thor ACE. Removed frame from vent in kitchen could not find any electrical wires. I want to install a vent with a fan.
About 3 ft away there are 2 lights I can tie into. How should I run and connect the wires from light to vent.

Hi iker211,
Consider posting this question in the Thor Owners Forum. On the iRV2 main page, scroll down about 1/2 way and you should see it. I suggest this because your question is very specific to your brand and model of coach. Like my signature says, nobody knows your coach like somebody who owns one just like yours.

You should be able to. Fortunately in my situation I had a light fixture right next to the vent. I wired a Maxxair Turbo Fan. It was a very easy installation over the existing roof vent. http://www.maxxair.com/turbo-maxx.html

FANTASTIC fans have a terrific guarantee. they are still sending me free parts for my 11 year old fans. they even pay postage.
my fans draw 3 amps on hi, 2.3 on med, 1.9 on low.
your plan should work depending on how many lights are on your circuit and what the fuse value is. my ceiling lights have 15 amp circuit breakers.

If not already done - convert ceiling lights to led. The power saved will be more than enough to run the fan and all lights without overloading that ciucuit.
