Poured potable antifreeze rated for -50 c
into the toilet and it is freezing into a slush.
Its not freezing solid like ice but it is not staying in liquid form. Is this normal?

Thanks

Steve

I believe that is normal, according to what I've been told / read.

It's normal. It will be slush till it gets colder than you want to be around. Past experience tells me it's still slush at 15 below.

Thankyou very much for your replies. I have been winterizing for many years but I guess this is the first time that I have peaked into the toilet bowl after a cold spell.
Website (thanks Bob) states that the antifreeze freezes at -10 f but does not expand until after -50 f.
