My Rv has sat all winter and had to jump start it and now I'm getting a reduced engine power and check engine lite is on . Does anyone have any ideas

i had a similar issue and found I had a stuck (closed) exhaust brake due to a worn part. replaced the worn part and we are good to go.

Hello and welcome, not sure what we are working on here but, sounds like your battery's were dead? if so the ECM lost voltage and seen low voltage and went into this mode. Try charging your battery's up to a full charge and after that start it again to see if your problem goes away.

its a 2004 Winnebago sightseer with 12000 miles and ran perfect wen I parked it so if I charge all 3 batteries and put them back in will that reset that ECM mode

It's a 2004 Winnebago sightseer with 12000 miles so after I charge all 3 batteries and put back in u think that will solve the problem

I am not sure if it will solve your problem but it is a good start to correcting the problem at hand,charge them up and let us know what you find and if the problem is still there.

Engine light is only there to 'protect the enviorment' by making sure engine is running
clean and what needs to be done to get it back to 100%. I completey agree with
previous posts. (it would be almost impossible, for us old mechanics to find the problems todays computers save, as they record, as problems are made, and which
clylinder to look at or where problem came from. gene

If this is a Ford V10, if engine runs hot, it automatically cuts some clylinders out,
costing power, until engine cools or orginal problem fixed. just food for thought.

Once you have the chassis battery fully charged the ECM should be OK, to learn your driving habits all over again.

I think that if you disconnect the negative cable from the battery and then reconnect, that will reset the check engine light. If a problem still exsists the light will come back on. To fnd out what is causing the light to come back on you can take it to Advance Auto and they will plug in a diagnostic tool and tell you what's the problem.

Can't the coach will not move but I have a friend that's has a machine and he checked it and he's thinking the batteries being dead is the cause so batteries are on charge and we will c wat happins wen I put them in with full charge , thank you

Living in R.I. and the cold weather we have had your batteries may be toast.
Check for cracks or bulge of side walls.
You can try to charge but may need new batteries.
If you need to change the batteries this thread will help keep wiring so its not messed up, read the links.
