RV Shows in NC

We are hoping to attend an RV show in January. Should we go to the 25th Annual North Carolina RV & Camping Show in Greensboro held January 10-12 or the NCRV Dealers’ Association RV Show in Charlotte held January 24-26? What is the difference? If we would only go to one which one would you suggest and why? We are picking up our Class A sometime in January and are eager to learn all we can.

Thanks!

Which one? We're about 3 hours from Greensboro although children live near so that would be an excuse to visit. We're 4 hours at least from Charlotte, live near the coast.

Sorry can't help you decide between those two....

But what I would suggest, is why not go to the BIGGEST RV show in the country ? Well worth your time.

Wouldn't that be great but my husband has yet to retire so we can't get to Florida then. It would really be fun though!

I've been to the Charlotte show, several years ago. It is a small show. One can see it in a day and still have time for a nice lunch and dinner. Very few after market vendors. If your in the market for a coach, there should be quite a few different brands represented.

I've been to both. Neither one is worth the price of admission. The Greensboro show is ALL Camping World and maybe 1 or 2 vendors who don't compete with Camping World. Like Verizon and people selling vinyl siding. The NCRVDA show is mostly trailers and small selections of knickknacks for campers. Like floor mats and plastic egg cartons. I wouldn't walk across the street to see either of those shows. JMO

Thanks so much. I think we have decided against going to either of those. It's a 3-4 hour drive and apparently not much to see. Perhaps we'll go to the one in February.

Try the Raleigh show
March 14-16

I've been several times and it's been well worth the time.

We probably will go to the Raleigh show in March. We're only an hour and half from there so it's an easy drive. Hopefully by then we will have gotten our motor home! Waiting is difficult! Someone compared it to being 16 and waiting for your license. Pretty good description!

Thanks everyone for your input.
