RVshop in Baton Rouge?

Anyone do any business with them? When we first started looking they were the first place we went to check out an ambassador with bunks. Now I see they have another model we want to check out but they are very slow answering email and when they do they don't answer my questions.

I'm not from Baton Rouge; we live in the Alexandria, LA area. The type dealer response you are describing doesn't sound too good. I kinda believe in "follow your gut." You might try some of the other forums here or give a day or two for replies.

One suggestion you might consider is to call Bill Westbrook in Alexandria. He owns an RV dealership, his main service guy has been with him about 40 years (that says something), and I've known the family for years. Bill sits on some kind of board or commission for Louisiana in a capacity related to RVs and I know their dealership sold Holiday Ramblers (Ambassador?) at one time. (I think he still owns one for his family's use.) The dealership is Cenla Camping Center and phone is (318) 445-6981. He may be able to recommend some reliable dealers for the Ambassador. I hope that helps a little. That kind of purchase deserves a really good dealer behind it.

Holy crap this place sucks.

1. If you are going to advertise on the internet, have someone dedicated to that side of the business.

2. Read your inquiries. I already told you what I want, don't ask me the same questions again.

3. Answer my questions. Seriously I asked for a spec/build sheet of a unit on their lot. Parter 4 semis he sent me a sheet to order one from scratch. Really?

Hubby was really on board with this and it's a shame they didn't answer me becuase we'd have gone in the am :(

We bought our 2013 HR ENDEAVOR from them and have had good service from them. They have taken care of all the items that needed repairs on the coach and believe me it has been quite a few. They were very good to deal with on the purchase and even went back to Monaco for some help in getting to the price I wanted to pay. If I was looking I would go back to them if they had the coach I wanted.

Beware of RVshop in Baton Rouge! We saw a 2012 Holiday Rambler 36PFT that the dealership had at the RV and Camper show at the Ponchartrain Center in Kenner, La. The Monaco rep was there, he told us about a 10,000.00 REBATE on the Holiday Rambler. We told the dealership we wanted it, when we went to the dealership to finalize the deal they tried to RAISE the price 10,000.00 to accommodate the rebate! We later found out the dealership "failed to submit" all of our financial info. (direct quote from lender). So on paper to the finance company we looked like complete paupers trying to buy the RV. Then, once all that was straightened out, the unit was mysteriously sold to someone else. RVshops response "oh well, these things happen". So IMHO go to another dealership to buy from!!
We bought from Johnny Bishop RV in Columbus, Mississippi. Family owned dealership with honest dealings! We were given very fair price for our MH and given very fair trade in value on the MH we traded in!!
