Satellite dish paintings

I always airbrush my dish and thought I would share a few pictures. I just had to replace the reflector on my dish; somehow the arm got bent and Winegard changed how the dish attaches (two bolts instead of four). The flying eagle is currently on my roof and the P-51's are on my portable. I just finished the eagle/flag today.

Maybe a silly question... does paint interfere at all with the signal and the reflector??? Very talented artist! ST

Those are nothing short of beautiful. I love your talent. I think that would be a great side business for somebody.

Great Question

Or, does the artwork paint have a reflective component added?

Thanks

Good Question, maybe we should ask Shaw, Direct and Dish who paint their names all over our dishes if that impacts reception. I have read a couple of threads where folks have had success using non-gloss paint but I have not seen any before and after signal strength data to say if there is any impact. This could be an interesting discussion.

Great Looking Dishes by the way...
