I just bought a 37' Forest River motorhome. There was hardly any operating manuals in the coach. I have a bunch of wires in the overhead cabinet where the VCR / DVD and a Winegard control box are at. That wire comes from somewhere and is marked "Satellite". I cannot find any satellite connections anywhere outside. I found two little boxes that say " park cable." I am assuming these are for cable TV. If the coach is pre-wired for satellite TV, where do you suppose the connector is? By the way, I have been gone from this forum for a very long time. Since I bought my MH, I decided to come back. Good to see y'all again! Al.

The sat cable probably terminates in your roof in the area marked for an optional satellite roof dish.

I used to have a Forest River 5ver, and one of my biggest complaints was lack of documentation with the rig. If you have two boxes on the exterior one is probably park cable and the other is probably for a remote satelite connection. In my 5ver, they were incorperated into one box, but were very close together. There could be a cable that runs to your roof for a roof top antenna, but it the build sheet doesnt say it's prewired for it, Forest River probably did not throw it in.
Also check the bedroom carefully as well for a satelite hookup. When I had my 5ver built to order at the factory, F/R put a splitter in the satelite feed in the wall. Thoughtful, except that you can't split the feed from a satelite. They had to tear a wall out and remove the splitter.
