Jim, I use an automatic rooftop dish from Motosat for satellite internet. There are those individuals that even use the dish on a tripod, where they manually put up and take down at each campsite.
The Datastormusers.com forum is a GREAT place to learn more about all kinds of satellite internet and satellite television applications.

I noticed you just joined yesterday.

Welcome to iRV2, we're really glad to have you here as a new member and are looking forward to reading your posts about your RVing experiences and adventures. You'll find a great bunch of folks on this site who are very knowledgeable of RVing, the rigs we use, and the places we go in them.

As you'll see, they're eager to help and share their knowledge and experiences with others.

Take a look at our Technology, Internet, Cell Phones, Creative Solutions, etc. forum, which is a forum for discussion of new RV products, RV technologies, the Internet, WiFi, ISP Connections, Cellular Phones, or solutions to problems which may be helpful. There are several threads there discussing satellite internet which you may find interesting.

Again, welcome to iRV2, we're glad you joined.

We use satellite internet via Hughes/Directway @ $59.99 per month, Portasat by www.maxwellsatellite.com.
2 laptops via wireless router inhouse. Works great!!
