Screen door handle replacement

It seems as if the current cold weather was to much for my screen door latch RV Designer Collection E287 Left Hand Amerimax Entry Door Latch.

Looking at this thing makes me wonder, whether I should replace it with the identical latch. This thing seems to be cheap and flimsy and I am amazed that it lasted that long.
Are there any better latches in the market or different, better system to hold the screen door to the main door when opened, and hold it closed when the main door stays open?

Not familiar with that handle but I had to replace mine with identical handle. Sit down and if on heart meds stop reading. All plastic, nothing to it screen door handle for Itasca Meridian, $111.00 plus shipping!!!! It did have a metal spring or two in it. Must be gold or platinum.

Boy am I glad that I have a cheap Hurricane. I found a replacement for mine on Amazon for about $ 17.
