Sealing skylight with dicor

I have a 07 winnebago vista and I was doing touch up sealing on the roof last year and I used dicor on everything including the skylight.
I now have found out that you should use Surebond SB 140 on skylights rather than dicor.
My question is: Can I now put surebond over the dicor where needed without a problem?

Is there a reason you shouldn't use Dicor on the skylight? I've used that on all mine and never had trouble.

The Dicor self leveling is not compatible with some plastics. Our DSDP instructions are not to use the Dicor self leveling on the skylight.

I recently installed a new skylight after finding a crack in the old one. The new skylight came with its own caulk. Guy at the rv place where I bought the new skylight said that the self leveling caulk they sell will over time deteriorate the skylight. John

I've got dicor on mine....no problems. Perhaps it will be for me down the road but its not worth it to get up there and change it out.

I have a Winnebago and they used Dicor on the skylight. Does the sealant call out sheet for your coach specify something other than Dicor?

As has been said, the Dicor is incompatible with some plastics (but not all) and can cause deterioration. There is no point in putting Surebond (or other brand) over the Dicor, so either remove it and use something else instead, or just leave it there and see what happens long term.

I use Geocel Proflex RV on mine.
