Sewer hose supports... What do you use?

I've seen the little trestle looking supports. They seem like kind of a pain.

This works ok ... simple setup and take down.

if you are at a site for a long period you can use plastic house gutter supported by bricks or patio blocks.

After 10 years of travel--I have gotten in the habit of letting my holding tanks "hold" and I dump once or twice a week. Tanks flush more completely, no oder from the parks system [omg] and no hassle trying to figure our what you have to do to be compliant with local "laws." Frankly, the whole idea of seeing dozens of sewer drain pipes hook up all over the park has never been that appealling to me--just saying.

I do the same....and let the grey water stay in the tank on the last day so you can flush the hose with that.
I just let the hose sit on the ground and lift it by hand as it gets empty......That just reminded me, I need a new hose....lol....

I use plastic eavestroughs. I bought 2-10 ft. sections and cut them so that I end up with two 4 ft. & two 6 ft. sections. The run that is pictured was a long one and the top of the sewer pipe was about ten inches above the ground. Most times it sits much lower.



If they need to be elevated, I use downspout Ts and put them underneath the eavestroughs. I use bungee cords to secure them.



I cut these extenders at various lengths to keep everything at the proper slope.



I don't set this up unless I'm staying for an extended period.

I use a ten foot length of house eaves trough cut in half. By trimming the top (outer)one it will slide inside the other thus giving a trough that is adjustable from five feet to almost ten feet.The only time I bother with this set-up is during a prolonged stay where I want it elevated and protected to facilitate the grass cutting.

I carry no sewer hose support .... (I've not used one for 12 years).
Unless a hose support is required by the campground mine lays on the ground and is also lifted it by hand as it gets empty.
If a support is a campground requirement I only hook up the hose to dump, (and I put it away while camping).

I only hook up the hose(s) when I'm ready to dump. Early in my camping career a veteran camper advised that laying in the sun for days is not good for the hose material. I've followed his advice and never had a hose break at the wrong time, which according to Murphy's Law, will be the black water. I also use the hand lift method when emptying.

Ditto on the Camco Trestle style holder. Works like a charm and easy to store! I also use the Rhino sewer hose as it clicks together for shorter runs. I got rid of my full flex hose because it turns into an unmanageable snake when I empty my system. With both the Rhino hose and Camco Trestle, it flows perfectly with proper drainage.

You took the words right out of my mouth.
Before I got the Rhino, it used to drive me nuts trying to keep the hose from snaking around.

I had one of the "Slunky" sewer hose supports with our old 5er, but can't use it with the MH. When we pull into a campsite, I dump all the air to let the coach down as low as it will go, putting the entrance door step close to the ground for easy entry and exit. My sewer hose goes through a hole in the bottom of the wet bay, so that puts it too low to use the Slunky.

I went to Lowes and bought two 10' lengths of plastic rain gutter and cut them off to 7 1/2 ' to fit the storage bays. I hook up the sewer hose, place the pieces of gutter under the hose with the two pieces overlapping to the correct length, then secure it to the hose with short bungees. I don't use any supports under the pieces of gutter as someone showed above because it would be too high. This gives me the slight slope I need from the MH to the dump inlet.

Works for me!

I raise my Windsor up as high as it will go for two reasons. One is for the sewer hose to fit under the coach easily and still drain quickly and the other is because my air leveling has a VERY slow leak in the rear someplace that everyone who has worked on it cannot find it. So I just use one of those Stromberg-Carlson adjustable front entry steps to help with getting in and out of the coach.

If and when I happen to be in Indiana, I plan to stop at the HWH company and have them find the leak and fix it permanently.
