Just installed a new Shur-Flo Water Pump (5.7 GPM) in our 05 Vectra.
Old Pump stopped working over the weekend, Shur-Flo replaced it under
warranty.
Installation was quite easy. However, I'm not impressed with the quick
connect O-ring connections with the clips. In fact the connection on
the output side of the pump is dripping as I write this. About one
drip per second. The fittings were lubricated and fit together
properly.

Any suggestions as to how to stop the drip?

The pump works great and provides good pressure to the whole coach.

Remove the piping and inspect to be sure there is not a scratch on the outer wall. If so, cut off the pipe enough to get to a good clean area and retry or just add in a new piece from a little ways back. You will also not want to have it binding at an angle coming into the pump. Good luck and keep us posted.

I have been thinking of replacing our pump with one of these. Since I believe your coach has more than one on/off switch did you need to install a relay in addition to the pump? I think these pumps use more 12v power than the old 2.8 gpm units.

Any coach with multiple switches will control a relay. But the relay is mounted someplace before the water pump and only a single pair of wires go to the pump. You can replace the 2.8 pump with a 5.7 pump without needing to mess with your relay. Electrical-wise it's an easy swap.

The 5.7 pump has double o-rings on the tube. Make sure both o-rings are good and were not damaged during installation. The clips must be correctly installed, make sure the pipe is completely pushed in before installing the clips. I like the old clamps over the o-rings! Use pleanty of grease, rotate the pipe several times before installing the clip to insure the o-rings have a good seal.
