Not sure this helps but
It depends on what you are lubricating. If you are lubing the gears under the slide then any spray lube will do but not WD 40. That is a solvent. If you are talking about the rubber gasket around the exterior of the slide well then you have options. I tried a spray lube that you can get at at your RV store or camping world but I'm not happy with it. After I sprayed it on, the slides squeaked much worse than they ever did when they were dry. Others have talked about using an old sock tied on the end of a pole that is filled with talcum powder. You apply it by slapping the sock along the rubber gasket. I might try that the next time but I still don't know why you need to lubricate the gaskets in the first place.
