Slide motor hum

After about a three hundred mile ride through some bumpy mountain roads,we reached our destination. Hooked up shore power turned on the air. Opened all the slides. Left to pick up groceries. Turned off the air, then noticed a hum coming from somewhere in the bedroom. Tracked it down to the slide motor. Ran the slide in then back out. Hum stopped. Anyone have any idea #1 what caused the problem and # 2 ,if it could of caused any permanent damage. Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you notice if the switch or button was sticking (as if you were still activating)? It couls be a sticking switch or a relay in the actual controller. I would keep an eye on the issue whenever you operate the room(s) but doubt you did any serious damage.

Could be the controller pot is set to high and the controller is not recognizing the slide is fully opened.
Any adjustments to pot are small adjustments either way when done.
