I am having a problem with my slide out awning billowing out with a side wind, its an A/E awning. Does anyone have a fix or solution to this? Its on a 2005 winnebago adventure, big living room slide on drivers side.

There should be an anti-billowing devise mounted on the end of the tube and a block mounted to wall to prevent billowing from occuring. This devise is a short arm that if the tube begins to unfurrel this arm makes contact with the blco on teh wall and stops it from turning anyfurther.

Mike it does stop it to a point, but the oppsite end will billow out somewhat and makes a terrific bang each time it billows out and slams back.

Sounds like there may be inadequate tension on the rollers - perhaps not properly yensioned when installed or perhaps the awning material has stretched.

Had this same problem a year ago. They only put 2 screws in the stop arm & one had come loose, allowing the awning to come out partially. When I got tp Las Vegas, I put several screws in tha arm's bracket & 1 more screw in the bedroom slideout bracket & all has been well since. It just doesn't make sense to only put 2 screws in there to start with. How much can the labor & the extra screw cost?
