My 2007 Mandalay has HWH powered levelrs and slides. The drivers side read slide has suddenly developed a problem where the slide immediately starts retracting slowly after being extended. After about 10 minutes its all the way in. The other slides are OK. The pump does not run whe that slide is retracting, but I can not hold it open. I am thinking leaky solenoid?

My problem is different from yours.
My rear slide extends about 9 inches after retracting.
Hwh says it is the solenoid control valve and I have replaced it 3 times, no joy. The last one they sent me leaks fluid too.
I found that opening the pressure release about 2 turns and the locking the slide in with lumber in the overhead works for me.
Maybe I will get to Hwh in Iowa eventually to get it fixed.
It is possible that loosening the Valve will help your problem.

Thanks Dan. This is my first post on IRV2. I suffered with this problem for 5 days. Immediately after posting, I extended the slideout, and held the switchout for about 10 seconds after it was extended. The slideout stayed. Maybe just posting the problem fixed it.

It's possible some debris in the fluid was causing the control valve to stick and you have cleared it. I had a problem of the slide creeping out and the fix was replacing the control valve. If the problem returns, identify which valve is the retract valve for that slide and open the 1/4" valve a turn or so. That should prevent it from retracting. It will be necessary to close the valve before retracting the slide but at least you can finish a trip before fixing the valves.

One other suggestion, open the 1/4" valve, run the pump a bit to circulate fluid through it incase debris is the culprit.
