The motor mount underneath our main slide is chewing through. Suggestions?

It is a bit difficult to determine your set up. Fleetwood during that era used Powergear. I used to have a 2001 Bounder and I learned fast that no 2 of these are built the same way.

Your photos aren't real clear as to where the rails are in relation to the motor. On mine the motor was at the leading edge of the slide. It seems odd that we cannot see any rail but we can see the motor./ With all that said it is obvious that something is out of alignment. It does look like a roller might be missing.

I would contact Fleetwood with your Fleetwood VIN and describe the issue. They are very good about sending you diagrams of what you need. With your Fleetwood VIN they can look up your vehicle and get all the build info on it.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Hard to imagine the whole slide, or the center slide floor area dropped down that far, unless a roller is missing. Plastic rollers do sometimes break up & come off. I would look at the motor/gearbox assembly to see if the torque of the motor, going in, or out, has somehow allowed the assembly to rotate slightly so it hits the bottom of the slide while operating. Possibly some loose bolts.

I think (so I am probably wrong) that the track is visible in the second pic, and looks like in the first one that either a section of track is missing or has came loose and was slid in by the motor. A better image of the second one may help, but my confusion is that if the track was supposed to be that far out, where are the screw holes?

Paul has put a steel sheet patch over the damaged area (which is what our dealer said they could do). Our House batteries were going down and they were causing the slide to go in and out very slowly and sag a bit. Now that we replaced the batteries it seems better. There is a lot of weight on that slide (dinette, fridge, closets). I think is a design problem. The bracket holding the motor is what was cutting into the floor, the rollers are intact but just not large enough. The motors and rails are fine. So far so good but we will keep an eye out it.
Thanks!

What purpose does the tie-wrap serve? Not an important bracket I would hope.
