Slide Out Roller Change

I have read several ways of changing the slide out rollers, mostly on Newmar's. Would the procedure be the same for a 98 Gulfstream?

I can't say than I know for certain , but , Newmars slide mechanisms are their own design and patented, so there will be differences.
Do you know what brand slide mechanism you have ?
Lippert and Power Gear ( now amalgamated ) are common.
I have info on the Power Gear slide adjustments, if that's your brand.

Skip ,
Thanks. It is a Power Gear system. The roller guide on the inside of the slide is what is bad.

Bob, I got the pdf, on power gear from their web site , and went trough it ( 111 pages to large to post) only the rollers in the drive mechanism are covered.
So the rollers your dealing with; ( slide to floor ? ) may have been Gulf Stream supplied and installed.
I downloaded the info when helping a friend with a broken drive on his, 2001, 5er slide.
If you think the info would be of any use to you , or if you would like to have it for reference , PM me your e mail address, and I'll pass it along.

It's very common to have to remove the slide to replace those rollers. They are pretty close to the inside edge and getting tools in there is near impossible. One guy tried to tip the slide enough to raise the inside edge but damaged his side wall with the slide. It may well be a job for a pro and pretty costly. Going in from the bay under the slide isn't a option because you would have to cut the floor out right where the rolled moves and reinstalling that chunk would never be even enough for the roller to work smoothly
