Slide out will not work - 2004 Damon Daybreak
Does anyone knows where is the fuse location for the slide out( sofa and kitchen one) in a 2004 Damon Daybreak. I was down in Florida for two months and when I was ready to leave the slide wouldn't come in. I had to overide it and do it manually. when I got home I put a 12 volts battery directly on the red and black wire next to the motor and it works. But it won't work from the inside switch. So if it's not the motor it's got to be a fuse or a relay of some kind ??????

Glad you made it home, don't know how to help you but I would like to know how you had to override it and do it manually. What slide system do you have?

fuse should be under the front hood right side looking in with other fuses in a block. Good luck and keep us posted.

Just asking here. Does the slides work when the engine is running? Our Damon Essence slides and awnings don't work when the engine is running. Safety thing I guess.

Slide won't work
My system is an electric motor and I can't make out the make because label is used. However it is easy to overide it and closed it manually. There is a small arm at the end of the motor to unlock it , turn it anticlockwise 1/8 of a turn and then use a 1 and 1/16 inch wrench and turn the square shaft. Not hard to do but slow, it takes me about 5 mins and after you closed it lock the arm on back of the motor by briging it back clockwise.

Sounds like it might be a Power Gear system.

We also have a Damon Daybreak 2008 that we discovered after being stored for the winter that the slides won't work. Of course, we planned to leave the day after we found this problem and it is a Saturday. Would the fuse for the slides be in the same place as the 2004 Daybreak? Thanks for the help.

With mine (hydraulic), there are several interlocks (easy to overlook after 2 months). 12V breaker must be on. Ignition switch must be on. Emergency break must be set. Hydraulic switch must be on. Locks must be retracted. And in bedroom, key switch must be on.

We figured out that the "slide lock"" switch needs to be in the on position. Duh! Many thanks. Now its the jacks that won't work! Sure wish we were mechanically minded.

Slide won't work
Damon Daybreak 2004. Finally , after two weeks of searching I found the circuit breaker with the fuse and the two relays (one for front slide & one for back slide). It is in the compartment Under the oven screwed to a wooden panel. I got to it by having my wife continuously click the slide button and I followed the noise until I got to it. It is a Power gear part# 14-1130. I ordered one thru eBay.
