2002 Stratus by R-Vision, rear track of the two slides has settled nearly 1/2 an inch causing the kitchen cabinets to make contact with the floor when the slide is brought in. Can I install shims? How to repair? Any ideas.

Get some Slideout Sliders and run the slideout onto them.

Can be bought at RV stores. About 48" long 8" wide and 1'8" thick nylon strips called Slideout Sliders.

What does one do with the devices you are referring to? Do they lift the slide a little bit, how does one put them in?

They just lay on the floor and you roll the slideout on top of them. You put them down to bring it in and you take them up when you put the room out. Have you tried Googling to get all the info?
