Has anyone tried to reverse the slide topper when it rips next to the motorhome? There is enough material not being used to do this.

I plan to do exactly this when the temperature drops to a reasonable level. I remember reading about guys that have successfully swapped ends of topper material. The only thing required was to switch the retainer cords, because they are different sizes. If detailed instructions for removing the topper will help, you may download them here: Aero-Rv.com - Aerolite Ultra Lite RV Travel Trailer and Expandable Hybrid Campers Your brand will be located under "tents and awnings".
