Slide Topper Estimates

I received a quote for an "A&E" brand slide topper for a new installation. $400 for parts. I've never heard of this brand. I have read about Domestic and Carefree of Colorado.

Anyone with experience with this product? The shield cover was an extra $125. Not sure if that is worth it or necessary either.

The best choice for quality slide toppers is stonevos.com, owners name is Chris.

A&E awnings, slide toppers, etc. are now a division of Dometic.

Hi WDW,
For me, the shield cover is well worth the $s.

StoneVos in Brooksville, FL is the best by a long shot.
The cover is worth $125...........it looks nice and will outlast the fabric.

We got ours from ToughTop Awnings in Arizona. Four toppers, 18oz, double-length (so you can flip them around when/if they start to wear - doubles their life) for about $530. Called Tyler at: 360.980.0537. \ken

I'd go with Dometic. I have Carefree...poor quality and worse service.

ToughTop Awnings is definitely lower cost, but we bought from Stone Vos because they could provide an exact fabric match for the awnings that came on our MH!

We had our Girard slide toppers replaced by Alliance Coach in Wildwood, Fl. They replaced the toppers with sewn seams with one piece toppers that matched the color of the existing toppers. $400 each, material and labor.

I just replaced one of our slide toppers last week using ShadePro. The slide is 14 ft long and the replacement awning was $199, installed.
