I need to replace the fabric on my A&E slide topper for my 05 Vectra. The material is delaminating and torn. I don't want to use A&E material since it appears it does last. I seen many posts and all refer to A&E products.
Any web sites would be helpful.

I'm not sure that it is the A&E product that is the problem. I had the same toppers on my 5ver and they started to fall apart after about 3-4 years. However, the slide toppers on the 5ver did not have covers. The toppers on the current MH have covers that they roll up into when they are not open and are holding up much better.

The constant exposure to the elements are really tough on the fabrics, and the toppers themselves get a lot of punishment from being extended in all types of weather for long periods.

You might try RV upgrades, a sponsor here on the forum for their applications. They have quite a selection of all RV related products.

I sure wouldn't expect them to go to pieces in just three years!! I just replaced the topper fabric on both slides on my 2003 Ultimate in May when the stitcing began to fall out. Mine are Carefree, with an aluminum shield they roll into when stowed. I removed the fabric and took it to an awning shop south of Dallas, had them confirm measurements (I would do them just a tad wider if I were doing it again!!), picked out fabric from their choices, and picked up the new toppers a couple of days later. I considered just having them stitched since that was the only real problem, but decided to go ahead and replace them as there were some small tears at the corners. The new ones were close to 1/2 the price it would have been to order and ship from Carefree, and I probably got better fabric this way.
