The vinyl topper/awning over my slides is deteriorating. Obviously, we want to replace them.

What are the pros and cons of Acrylic?
What are the pros and cons of vinyl?

There was a thread about this a while ago. Someone found aftermarket material that was heavier then what A&E or Colorado offers. You should be able to find it doing a search on "topper".

The acrylic fabric can breathe and is there for cooler under it but it does cost more. Also acrylic will have a longer life than vinyl under the same conditions. Welcome, Retirees, to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here. I am sure you will enjoy this website and forums. Keep us posted and have fun.

#1. Your Winney is only 4 years old? Don't get the same material as your old one! JMHO!
#2. The better material is usually the one that costs more! Also JMHO!

We had a 03 Itasca Horizon with the same problem. Our dealer found the awning material had a replacement from A&E due to a default from their vendor. We got all new awnings. You need to check out this an see if your is the same material.
