Slider Power Shaft - Powergear
A shear pin needs to be replaced in a position where the shaft goes through the frame/brace, which is above the propane tank.
I will need to move the shaft forward a few inches to allow room to replace the pin.
Any suggestions or recommendations on dropping the front assembly in order to do this?
To be a little more specific, it is the rear motor model, with a two piece (one inside the other) square tube shaft. In the front the square tube goes over a round drive shaft to which the gear is attached, also with a shear pin. It's the pin that goes through the square shaft and rod. Darn thing is in a position impossible to get to without pulling the shaft fore or aft. I'm hoping that I won't have to remove the shear pin in the gear.
(The picture is of the aft end of a front mounted motor. Same thing)
Thanks for any info.
Regards,
Jim
