The large slide on my 34N is very slow to close. Is there an adjustment or is it low on hydraulic fluid. How do you add fluid if that's the issue or make the adjustment?

Might just be temperature related. Cold will make the fluid much more viscous. Have you been experiencing colder than normal weather?

There will be a hydraulic tank located somewhere on your rig. Most likely in close proximity to your pump. Mine is accessed by lifting an entry step. If you do check it, make sure the slides are in, and jacks up. Your manual should explain the process. Then add the recommended fluid if it is low.

On the HWH system, the valves have small "T" handles at the end to assist with closing the slides if the pump fails. Check to see if the pressure release valves are snug.

Is the engine battery fully charged?

My slides were slow as a result of a bad battery.

TNBULLDOG...Try operating the slide while you're still hooked to shore power or the generator is running.

Mine is slow too, from the time it was new. I took to to National RV and they said it was normal for the large slideout.......it still working two years later.

There's a dipstick with marks on it for low and full. Read your manual. On my Winnebago, the solenoids with the T handles only release the jacks and there's 2 others that release with a nut driver for emergency closings only of the slides. No adjustments. When it's cold like this, I make sure the engine is running to supply enough juice to the pump. Mine runs off the engine battery not the house batteries. Good luck.
