SmartRV - anyone use it?

It came in my motorhome... seems like the company may be out of business as their customer support phone numbers are disconnected.

OK, I found it in the Internet and read a little about the device and service.

Too expensive in my opinion for what you get in return.

It's just another gimmick to lighten your pockets and fatten up theirs.

I can see some value... especially if you store your RV away from home.

I got a year free subscription to the service, so I suppose I'll try it out and see how it goes.

This is the email response I got fairly quickly after I sent a message:

Subject: Re: Is the company still in business? I need support

Keith,

Thank you for signing up for Smart RV and registering your Coachmen Sportscoach! I see your unit is in our queue for activation as of about 10 minutes ago.

It will take 48-72 hours to activate the unit for communication with the Smart RV servers, after which mapping should start to appear when you are logged in.

An yes, we are still in business. I'll look into why the phone numbers are not working for you.

Well.. this is pretty cool... I came home to prep the RV for our trip tomorrow... just checked email and got this:

This is a Smart RV Alarm for:
VIN/TAG: 4UZAB2DT9DCFD7043
ALERT TYPE: Alarm
MANUFACTURER: Coachmen RV
MODEL: Sportscoach Cross Country
Smart RV is reporting that your RV's ignition has started.
You are receiving this email because the Alarm is turned on and you have chosen to receive email notification. If you do not wish to receive email notifications or if you want to turn the alarm off, click on the Alarm Icon on the left side of your Portal.
You will not receive subsequent Smart RV Alarm notifications until you clear this particular alarm.
