Spare tire cover...where can I find?

Hi,

I just had my tires replaced under the FMCA plan. I changed from a 225 70R 19.5 XRV Michelin to a 225 70R19.5 XZE Michelin. Apparently the tire is just enough larger than the old one that the fiberglass cover and stainless ring no longer fit on the new one. I can find that Aries makes these, but I can't find any detailed info on sizing for my tire. It's 32 to 32.5 inches in diameter.
Does anyone know where to find a replacement for this?

Thanks!

Hi Full.Monte,
Google "truck spare tire cover". There will be quite a few choices.

Thanks for the replies! For anyone doing this search in the future, the best way I found to google it was to search for Continental Kits. It took a couple hours and a few phone calls, but that's the best search criterion I found.

I had the same cover on a CC Class 3 years ago. This may sound weird but it happened, The tire blew out on the spare tire mount, blowing the spring latch to the outer chrome cover off.

It was an extreamly hot day approx. 112 F of which is normal here in the central valley of Ca. Tire was 6 years old but never on the ground and being a mechanic I know the tire pressure was proper.

I'm thinking the cover added to the heat of the tire or that the cover was mounted on a cool morning and the heat expanded the tire, was a mich and blew ot with a lot of force, weird but true.

Reguardless I replaced it with a white vinyl cover and had an artsy friend apply the coaches name and a graphic.

Jwar, that's really weird. My cover is white. I can't see how a tire would get that hot, but I guess it did. My ring will still fit. Have a center disk coming.
