8 point socket. You can get them at Sears. Also soak the plug with PB Blaster.

Kept man. I'm quite sure bdpreece did mean an 8 point socket. They fit square headed bolts and plugs. I have some. 6 point don't fit, 12 point of the wrong size may fit but are almost certain to round the shoulders of the bolt.

Not a fan of trying to heat that plug. Try soaking it overnight with PB Blaster then tapping it with a hammer to break it loose. May take more than one attempt.

When removing steam fittings put bees wax on them and let it cool down the wax will be pulled into the threads. Might give it a try its not a steam fitting but it still may work.

Onan uses several different park arrestor types, so the genset model number would be helpful to give an accurate answer. However, I don't know of any that need a special tool - just a suitable size and type wrench. Unless it has been removed regularly, it is probably semi-welded in place with the effect of high heat and corrosion. People sometimes end up using Vise Grips after the corners get ground off the bolt head. Plenty of penetrating oil (PB Blaster or similar), applied a day or two in advance, is a good idea too.

Mine happens to be a hex (6-sided) bolt, so a 6 point socket is best if it's corroded. Other models may have a 4-sided bolt, which needs a different wrench.
