Hi
I bought a set of tire covers a few months back
And they are on my MH now. My question is.
Is there an easy way to put these on and take them off?
I put them on and off a couple times and what a huge pain in the butt they were
Especially on the back duals. You end up laying down and try to fish
The elastic cord between the 2 tires, then go to to the other side of the tire
And pull the cord through, all while laying in the dirt.
What am I doing wrong here? Thanks

There are several kinds of RV tire covers - after searching around a bunch, we bought these:

Covercraft Snap Ring Tire Covers for RV Motor Home Trucks Cars

Easy on/easy off. They have a metal rod in them that simply snaps around the back of the tire...they've stood up to some high winds with no problem. Takes just a few seconds to put them on...take them off. No muss from crawling around in the dirt/mud.

How about maybe feeding your awning rod through and slipping the end of the cord on it and pulling it through?

I tied two of the elastic cords together. Then throw the bungee over the top of the tire and let it fall down the back of the tire toward the axle. Hook the two ends you are holding together, and bingo - DONE. No laying down. Just do it before you dump air.

With black covers (which don't show dirt) you can't vn see the cords.

I hang mine over the tire and forget about it, haven't lost one in eight years. Wind blows them off on occassion, but rarely. I just got tired of getting on my knees etc, do now I don't.

Also by way of disclosure I cover the entire RV during storage so if I use tire covers then they are also held in place by the overall cover. But I leave them off now because the full cover takes care of them.

But if I were to do it over the snap ring idea is a winner with me. But my covers are in great shape.
