If you are hearing a squeak in your brakes, it may mean that the brake pads may need replacement. They have a metal tab that touch's the rotor, to let you know, when they are worn out.

If the brakes are kind of new, someone left out the anti squeal pieces.

A noise while bouncing the front end may be sway bar bushings or springs. brake pads are more likely to squeal while applied.

We're back to diagnosis. Touch the brakes and it squeaks when it bounces. Hooligan has hit on one possible location of the squeak the sway bar bushings. It could also be squeaks when the leaf springs move during the bounce. It's not likely shocks. They will move some but still not a likely source. I'd try a silicone spray around the sway bar bushings and then the leaf springs.

As far as the brakes squeaking well remember that all and I mean ALL brakes squeak. However they are designed so that the squeak occurs outside the human range of hearing. The only time we hear it (as stated) is when the low pad metal tabs rub against the rotor and make a squeaking noise. They will also squeak if glazed and worn smooth. But that would occur while stopping at higher speeds not just as you are stopping.

Has nothing to do with the brakes. It only happens when inching up and tapping the brakes. More annoying than anything.

Air Brakes? My air brakes make a kind of tooting noise when I inch forward as you describe. I think it's normal
