Squeaky

I hope this is not a dumb question but are the floors in a class A suppose to squeak when you walk on them? We have used our motorhome for awhile and I just realized that there is a squeak in the bathroom area. I see and feel no water issues but it is bugging me.

No. We had a squeeky floor in a 5th wheel and took it back to the dealer. There was some flooring that had not been properly secured, they fixed it.

Sounds like some loose screws/bolts in the flooring. You may be able to get at them from underneath (basement & bays) and tighten. I had that problem in a 2002 Dolphin and I tightened enough bolts to stop the noises.

Hi homerbw,
I have the same kind of squeak in the center of the coach in the living area. Sometimes it is there and sometimes it is not. I decided to just live with it.

I had a squeak in my previous coach, where a metal floor panel had a broken weld, most likely from age. I expect to have squeaks at sometime with my new one, especially considering some of the highways that it has and will travel on. After all it is a truck suspension, with a house bolted onto it.
Safe travels

Thanks everyone for chiming in. I will ignore it for now, hopefully it has a few loose screws like it's owner.

I had one in the bathroom where the plywood floor rubbed against the heat vent. It only did it when the humidity was high. I got a little silicon spray in between the vent and floor and stopped it.
