Stabilizer Jack not all the way up

One of my stabalizer jacks will not retract all the way in and allow the display panel to recognize that it is up. It just keeps clicking. Any way to reset the jack system? Any thoughts on what I might do to force lowering the jacks so that I could let the system try again to retract all four?

Not having any idea what type of system you're talking about will make it pretty hard for anyone to help you. Is it hydraulic or electric?

I think you have the Power Gear electric stabilizer jacks, right? Go to the Power Gear website and they have several articles concerning their products. Can't find what you need, contact them and they will help.

Please let us know what you did to fix the problem. There is bound to be others out there needing the same information.

If they are hydraulic place a small jack under it and jack it up, if electric there is usually a nut or bolt at the top of the leveler that you can turn that will raise/lower the jack manually.

Have you lubricated the steel shaft?

I wipe transmission fluid on my Power Gear jack shafts about once a year, otherwise they get very slow to retract.

The gears inside the jack leg had stripped and there was no way of replacing just the leg. I had to order the whole jack. With labor, over $1,000! So this matter has been resolved. Thanks to each one that responded and tried to offer help to me. I tried many of the suggestions given. You're a great bunch!

Thanks for getting back to us on the resolution. A bit pricey!
