stain removal

Took our Coachmen RV to the RV truck wash when we returned from vacation, next day our RV had brown stains everywhere. Took it back to the truck wash where they repeatedly washed RV with acid solution. RV looked ok for awhile, now brown stains showing up again. Anyone had this problem and what solutions do you have,if any?

I don't know what happened originally but "repeatedly washed RV with an acid solution" could not be good for any finish. Have you tried or should I say did they try rubbing compound before the acid bath? They may owe you a paint job.

If its fiberglass I would suggest you take it to either a boat repair or a body shop that specializes in fiberglass for their opinion. Good luck and I certainly hope you find a resolution short of painting.

I use a product called "protect all" oxidation remover, give it a try...it works really well removing stains, once you have the stains off give a spray and wipe with synthetic wax to protect it again as the the acid would have burnt off some of the protective gel-coat and all of the existing wax on the fiberglass.
