Here's a dumb one for everyone to have fun with.... Does the Steer Safe stabilizer system mount on both sides of the axle or just one side?

It doesn't really specify on thier website and when I got mine in the mail today there were 2 sets and thought maybe I got lucky with a mis-filled shipment!! lol Oh well guess i'll keep trying the lottery! Can't wait to get these on the MH and take it for the first ride though.

Chris

I've installed three sets of SSs. It is relative easy to install. Just make sure you have it set like in their picture. Do not tighten anything down until all is in place. After the u-bolts are tight, pull the unit with the springs on as far back as you can then tighten. They work great. s/Toby

How do you plan on installing it if you don't read the manual/install instructions?

Great for the front, but complete it with a rear track bar, a must.

Capt. Dan, Toby, Drifter... Thanks for the comments. I installed the SS (on both wheels.. lol) the next day. Then left the following day for 2200 mile 10 day trip. Got back yesterday and couldn't believe the difference! Drifter, the rear trac bar is my next insall. Didn't have time prior to the trip to take care of that but is in planning for the near future.

Hamguy, read my signature.... lol I hadn't read the intructions yet, just opened the box and was suprised to see two sets, happened to be online and made the posts. But thanks for the comment all the same.

I just had the Steer-Safe + Bilsteins installed all the way around on my 36-foot 2000 Holiday Rambler Vacationer. I left for the weekend, pulling a toad, and in an impossibly narrow section of road construction (with a cement divider on the driver side), my right wheel dropped 4" off the pavement. The MH started to careen, and the S-S kept my front wheels straight and the Bilsteins helped the stability as I eased it oh, so carefully back up onto the roadbed.

So yes, there are TWO of those lovelies that saved my life. BTW, what extra help would an Ultratrac have provided?
