Steering damper

Anybody know who makes the regular steering damper for a 2006 32' Coachmen Leprechaun on a E450 chassis? Mine only has 10,000 miles on it and I have no issues other than the seal is leaking and I am losing oil and it is blowing around the front of the motor. Most of the regular ones I am finding do not say they are for dual wheel applications they are only for 4 X 4 and regular trucks. I contacted Monroe and they say they do not have one that would work. Should I assume the factory one would be a Motorcraft? I am not interested in the high tech high dollar ones. Thanks

I went to NAPA. Put in your VIN # and the part will be listed.

That how I replaced mine on my E450

As mentioned by twinboat, go to NAPA or any parts house. I cannot imagine that there would not be an aftermarket steering damper for your chassis. I replaced mine 3 years ago and it was a Monroe (costs about $50.00). Front end shop that did mine alignment job wanted around $150.00 to replace it. Factory one was probably a Motorcraft but someone like Monroe made it for them.

I just called the local Ford dealer parts department with the vin number. They told me it came from the factory with part number 8C2Z3E651B. When I search for that number I get a Monroe damper part number SC2955 that is supposed to cross reference to it which is available for about $30.00 so I am not sure why Monroe's tech department told me they did not have anything that would work? Looks like I will be replacing it with a Monroe.
