Yeap, you need to do it multiple times.

I've read that Permethrin seems to be the only thing that will get rid of them. That is the active ingredient in Bengal Roach Spray, which we use on a regular basis in the S&B. We'll be putting a can of it in the MH!

We discovered early on that the best thing to use on Stinkers is a solidly proven preventative:
Leave before they look for Winter lodging!
It truly works, and flawlessly

It took us at least a year to get rid of them a couple of years ago.
It was the fall, their apple harvest festival week (Sept or Oct). I was up in Lancaster area this year in the spring, and didn't catch anything (but was prepared with a set of foggers in my basement ready to go if needed).

Personally I would not hesitate to go back. Given my success with fogging, I know they definitely work.

Kiawah, thank you for the response. I believe I will plan my trip no later than mid September.

I successfully used the Raid fumigator on our infestation. We came back from South Dakota last October with a load of the little stinkers. One fumigator in the coach interior and another in the basement did the trick. Haven't seen another one since.

Successful use of a fogger does not rid the RV of Stinkers. They do die. But the majority remain in the walls and other havens they had found.
If you look in secluded places, they will be there!
A neighbor had a failed A/C and the mobil RV tech found the innards of the motor so stuffed with dead stinkers it would not turn! So he had to disassemble it.
I prefer to leave before the temps drop to the level where Stinkers love my RV.

That would be early September on the East Coast. Anytime after Labor Day. We've "caught" them in PA, VA and NC while the days were still in the 80's. PA was the worst - when they started cutting nearby corn fields, all the stinkers moved into the RV park!
